Notice is hereby given to the Citizens of the Town of Rogersville that the Rogersville City Board  of Education

will NOT meet during the month of July.

Mr. Frank Testerman - Chairman

  • Married to Lucille Testerman; father to Debbie Bruhin and Patti Richardson; grandfather to Tyler and Jared Bruhin ~ Mathew and Mandria Richardson

  • Retired as Administrator at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital; Active Director of the Rogersville Housing Authority

  • Appointed to the Board in 1990 by City Council; re-elected each term

 

 

Mr. Reed Matney - Vice Chairman

  • Married to Regina Henard Matney; father to Scarlett and Abby; grandfather to Meredith and Evelyn

  • President of Citizens Bank, Rogersville

  • Attended Rogersville City School and Rogersville High School; Bachelor of Science - Business Education from East Tennessee State University; Graduate School of Banking - Louisiana State University; Commercial Lending School at Vanderbilt University

  • Appointed to the Board in 1988 by City Council; re-elected each term

  • Serves on the budget committee

 

 

Ms. Joyce Simon

  • Grew up in the Persia Community and Pressmen’s Home
  • Attended Rogersville High School and Prince George’s Community College
  • Has one daughter, Kelly Simon Nichols, who teaches third grade in Olney, Maryland
  • After high school graduation, Ms. Simon participated in a FBI recruitment program and was assigned to the Laboratory Division in Washington, D.C.  After 13 years, she returned to school and pursued a career in the medical field both clinical and business.  Over the past 30 years, Ms. Simon has served as a medical assistant, office manager, practice manager, and worked with the ETSU Rural Tract Medical Program.
  • Presently employed by Rural Health Services Consortium as an Aide to the Chief Medical Officers and Recruitment Officer in Rogersville

  • Appointed to the RCS Board in 1995 replacing Mary Kilpatrick; Ms. Simon was the first elected Board Member; presently serving third, elected term

 

 

Mr. William Phillips II

  • Married to Erika W. Phillips

  • Attended The McCallie School;  The University of the South (Sewanee), Bachelor of Arts 1999;  The University of Memphis, Juris Doctor 2002

  • Employed at Phillips and Hale

  • Appointed to the Board in October 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Eddie Terry; Elected as Board Member in November 2008. 

 

Mr. Todd Biggs

  • Married to Kristi Biggs; father of Brady and Katie Biggs, both RCS students

  • Attended Rogersville City School; Graduate of Cherokee High School 1988; Graduated with Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD.) from University of Tennessee, Memphis 1995

  • Employed as pharmacist at Brookside Pharmacy in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital

  • Active member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Rogersville

  • Elected to School Board in November 2008

At the discretion of the Director of Schools and the Chairman of the Board, your concern will be placed on the agenda or addressed privately at an appointed time.
